Training Division Over 27,000 county firefighters have successfully completed training in the past twenty-five years. Training has come a long way. A change in technology has caused the county to continually update its quality of training and continually seek out the best instructors. The Division of Training is made up of a Director, Assistant Director and a Training Committee. Their sole function is to provide up to date, safe training and the coordination of all county training activities. Training not only takes place at the county's fixed facility, but also at any members fire department. Outreach programs are available. These programs can be delivered in your firehouse,  when it is convenient for you. The Training Committee is in the process of putting together training seminars that will be both informative and very inexpensive.

Four weekend training programs are offered annually. Special weekend programs are also available. We also offer two Firefighter I and two Firefighter II programs annually. Both programs meet NFPA 1001.

Fire Department organizations are very important today. The secret to the success of any organizations is in its members. The success of training is in the participation of the members of the organization.
