The summer season is just about over with and hopefully has been an enjoyable one for all, but now it is time for the start-up of the Hartford County Fire Emergency Plan 2008-2009 year. The first plan meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 17th 2008 at the Bloomfield Center Fire Department, 18 Wintonbury Road, Bloomfied, CT. Your attendance is very important as their will be a lot of information that will be presented and discussed The information that will be discussed are the CSFA Convention in Cromwell, the HCFEP Memorial Service in October, and other important information about the fire service. Mark your calender for September 17th and plan to attend the meeting.

The members of the Cromwell Fire Department are undertaking the 125th Connecticut State Firefighters Convention and Parade on September 19th, 20th , and 21st in Cromwell, Connecticut. This is the 3rd time that this history event is being hosted by the Cromwell Fire Department; as well as the third time the event will be held in Middlsex County. Along with the CSFA Convention, this event is being run simultaneously with the Cromwell Riverport Festival, as well other one -of-a-kind events happening throughout the weekend. We are anticipating a large professional and public turnout throughout the week and hope that you or your company will help us make this the best convention possible.

I am asking all of Hartford County to send your delegates to the convention so we can show support I been told the New London County is showing us up let's not let this happen come on Hartford County let's show then that we can do and beat then out so that we can take the lead again that Hartford County always has been there to show support.

This year's Hartford County Fire Emergency Plan ANNUAL MEMORIAL SERVICE honoring deceased firefighters from the county will be hosted by the Wethersfield Fire Department. The date for this service is Sunday, October 5th 2008. The service will begin at 7:00PM at the First Church of Christ 250 Main Street, Wethersfield, CT. Line up for the County Memorial Service will be at Wethersfield Fire Department Station One at 171 Main Street starting at 6:30PM.
