NATIONAL FIRE PREVENTION WEEK
OCT. 7TH - 13TH
October 7th marks the start of National Fire Prevention Week throughout the U.S. This year’s theme focuses on “Practice Your Escape Plan!”
According to an NFPA poll (PDF, 759 KB), the majority of Americans have a fire escape plan, but most haven’t practiced it. From October 7-13, fire safety advocates will be spreading the word that when it comes to escape plans, practice is key. Let’s get started!
Sound the alarm During Fire Prevention Week, NFPA is asking kids and families all across North America to practice their home fire escape plans. With your help, we hope to have the world’s biggest fire drill. Let’s get started!
After you’ve practiced your drill, make sure to visit Sparky.org to make your drill count.
