The Andy Flanagan Memorial Scholarship committee has recently announced the names of the recipients for this year's scholarship.

From the Hartford County alone there were four winners, but CONGRATULATIONS are in order to EVERYONE.

MAY MEETING

The Hartford County Fire Emergency Plan Meeting for May will be at Bradley International Airport Fire Department Station No. 1. Chief Duffy again has asked that all county Fire Chiefs who have taken arrival of new Fire Apparatus to bring it up to the meeting on May 21, 2008. Now is the time to circle the date May 21st, and look for more information in the May edition of the Hoseline.

HARTFORD COUNTY FIRE EMERGENCY PLAN FIFTY-EIGHT ANNUAL MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR DECEASED FIREFIGHTERS

This year’s memorial service will be hosted by the Wethersfield Fire Department. More information will be forthcoming as we get closer TBA so watch for more information in the Hoseline.

HARTFORD COUNTY FIRE EMERGENCY PLAN ANNUAL DINNER MEETING

To all the members of the Hartford County I just want to remind everybody that the Hartford County Fire Emergency Plan Annual Dinner Meeting is set for June18, 2008. This event will be held at the Farmington Club on Town Farms Road, in Farmington, CT. The board members are still working on a guest speaker for that night. Watch for more information and when tickets go on sell look for that in the May edition of the Hoseline.

To all County Chiefs, Training Officers and House Captain, If there are any changes or information about your department that needs sharing, please let me know ASAP, so that I can include it in the next print of the Hoseline. If there has been a line of Duty Death, a department member has answered his or her last alarm. Please let me know as soon as possible so that I can make sure that their name is added to the list and not forgotten at the Annual Hartford County Memorial Service which is held during National Fire Prevention Week. Also if someone is sick or in the hospital forward me their names so it can be read off at the board meetings and plan meetings.
